Snowflakes

First snowflakes of the year on my window. A close up study of impermanence, that everything that comes also goes, comes and goes. As we cling to forms that pass, are passing or have passed, not yet sensing the new forms fully that will inevitably arise, in the land of unknowing, we can turn to nature and receive the ancient lesson: that everything that comes also goes.

And we can turn toward it and experience the intense beauty that is present in every single unfolding. Perhaps not in the form we would want it to be. But bringing blessings beyond belief, if we dare to pause in the land of unknowing.

Really, what else can we do? We are here for as short a time as the snowflakes, so let us turn toward life in all its forms, even the very warm ones that makes us melt. Only to see ourselves arising in the very next moment, anew.
