No Hesitation

Two people tell us about cancer in their loved ones this morning. Life and death suddenly becomes vivid and clear as the central axes around which our being evolves. A stillness rises, within and without and everything seem to fall into its proper place and perspective.

What are we here for? To show up for each other as life and death twirls. We practice meditation to be able to show up when it is needed and in whatever form it is needed. No hesitation. As someone else's heart leaps out and up, we train to be ready to meet it with the same vigour and immediacy.

No hesitation. How can we not? We human beings are all interconnected, in life and death and the constant change of the human condition. Perhaps we see this more clearly as we sit, day in and day out.

I am off to the studio to make guided meditations. Today loving kindness and words of compassion rise to the surface and the program has changed for the day. As it has for our dear friends and their loved ones. Let us meet in the center of what it means to be human.
